Blabbermouth

Originally posted on the Breast Health Online forum

Of course I've already opened my big mouth and told everybody at work that I'm having a breast reduction.

I didn't mean to  --  I was planning on being a lot more discreet and *mysterious* about it, at least until a day or two before the surgery  --  but the minute I came back to the office, the day I signed the surgical contract, I started telling my co-workers all about the big news. How could I not?  I work in a small office with seven other women.  I wanted their praise, their encouragement, their support, their cast-off button-down sweaters.  And I got it, for the most part.  (The universal first question?  "What size do you want to be?"  I had to tell them that I'm still figuring that one out.  The universal second question?  "Can I have your leftovers?")

The PROBLEM is that I'm still four weeks away from my surgery date  ...  and everybody is sick to death of hearing about it already.  Including *me.*

Maybe I should have kept my mouth shut until the end of July.
